Bosa planning a ‘mountain village’ theme for Lynn Valley
“We are trying to capture the feeling of a mountain village so we are using a lot of natural materials here: a lot of stones, timber, peaked roofs — things that you would expect to find in other beautiful mountain villages, whether it’s Whistler or Banff or places like that,” said Sager of Bosa’s vision for Lynn Valley Centre. Bosa has scaled down their plans after hearing from the public this past year. Included in the previous iteration was a 22-storey residential tower. Sager said the new proposal calls for a series of six buildings ranging from two to 12 storeys — two of which are residential only, while the others are mixed use.
Lynn Valley density dustup continues
Density is coming to the North Vancouver neighbourhood of Lynn Valley in the form of a new town centre and residential towers. But some locals vow to continue their opposition to the coming changes, even after their protests successfully influenced the North Vancouver District Council to limit the height of buildings in future neighbourhood developments.
Vote on Lynn Valley plan delayed
The residents of Lynn Valley have come to a consensus: they don’t agree. District of North Vancouver council delayed its vote on the controversial Lynn Valley Town Centre plan Monday after an exhaustive report found no clear winner among development options voted on by the nearly 1,200 district residents who participated in the process.
